My driveway

Driveway

I love living in the country!

Just sitting here thinking about how much I love living in the country. It's beautiful to look out and see so much green and to hear the chickens clucking busily in their yard. I grew up in the suburbs and didn't like to be outside all that much. Eeeewww, you mean get dirty and, gasp! Sweat?! Horrors.

Now, my best days are when I get to dig in the dirt on a hot summer day. If my gardening skills can just start to catch up with the garden in my head.

Actually got work done this morning

I made a simple clutch handbag this morning and I just love it. I managed to get it done between making tea, making beds and refereeing disputes between my two youngest children. Had to keep the three year old from beating up her big brother. She's lucky he doesn't hit girls--much.

Jinx the Cat Came Home!

Photobucket

Our outside cat, Jinx, was on the front porch this morning. That wouldn't be unusual except that we hadn't seen her since last Thursday. I thought she was gone forever. I will have a better day today, knowing she will be staring at me through the window when she's not busy stalking mice in the woods. Rodents, beware. Jinx is back!

Great week at VBS!

We had a very busy week. Our church had Vacation Bible School and my husband and I helped in the youth class, while our children were each in their own classes. The theme was Australia, the Boomerang Express where "it all comes back to Jesus". Here's a picture of my husband in our classroom, being his silly self.

Why are we so tired? It was only 3 hours a night for five nights! I need coffee...
