Me, with husband Andy at a fancy dinner in 2007...
Me, in my sewing room, 2010... I think I may actually be having more fun as a blonde. Although it's probably due more to being in my sewing room than the color (or lack thereof) of my hair.
I'm staring out of my dining room window, watching for the promised snow storm. A guy on the radio said it's been seven years since we've had more than an inch of snow. It's about time. I've got bread in the freezer, two and a half gallons of milk in the fridge and a fresh jar of peanut butter. I think I'm ready.
I'll report back later.

Okay, I'm back. It's snowing in the swamp. Officially.
Ummmm, what do I do with all this bread, milk and peanut butter?
I love to walk to the mailbox with my children. When we lived in the suburbs, that wasn't so exciting--you know, down to the end of the paved driveway and back. But now that we're in the country, it's a grand adventure.
Especially when there are puddles begging to be stomped in.
I have been on the lookout for a large fabric basket, but hadn't seen one I liked (for less than a bazillion dollars). Turns out, it was a good thing that I didn't find one, because it got my creative juices flowing.
