(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Hmmm, the north side of the tree, maybe?

Again? Really?

It's snowing. In the swamp. Again.
We've been told that if we want to play in the snow, we should do it this morning. Later, the fluffy white stuff is going to turn into little balls of ice and after that, to a glaze on everything.
The nice thing about snow in the south is that nobody expects us to go anywhere. We have very few snow plows or sand/salt trucks; no one has chains for their tires or a snow shovel. Therefore, we stay home. And we like it that way.

Eat up, Jinx. You could use the extra insulation right now.

Snow in the Swamp

Sorry, bud, the chickens don't care if it's snowing. They still want to eat.

Hmm, the pool is much less inviting this time of year.

I love our driveway when it snows.

Did you get much snow at your place?

Snow in the Swamp

Here's what 6-7 inches of snow looks like in the swamp.

I'm glad to be back inside with a warm cup of coffee. How are things at your place?

Is it snowing yet?

I'm staring out of my dining room window, watching for the promised snow storm. A guy on the radio said it's been seven years since we've had more than an inch of snow. It's about time. I've got bread in the freezer, two and a half gallons of milk in the fridge and a fresh jar of peanut butter. I think I'm ready.
I'll report back later.

Okay, I'm back. It's snowing in the swamp. Officially.
Ummmm, what do I do with all this bread, milk and peanut butter?
